Jazz Evening - Thursday 5th May

The Middle House and live jazz.... what a combination !

Starting Thursday 5th May, we are proud to announce a monthly live music night showcasing Meridian FM Jazz Broadcaster & East Grinstead Jazz club host Jenny Green with her top flight Trio featuring special guests.

The evening will be commencing around 7pm and will feature two 45 minute sets with a short break, finishing about 9.15pm. Food will be served during the evening with table reservations being taken now. The lower lawn and a selection of terrace tables will be available If you just want to come along and enjoy the music with a drink or two !

May's performance will be a “Swing into Summer “ with a cocktail of swinging classics, popular bright melodies, catchy rhythms and good vibes with this top class evening .

Adrian York will be the on keyboard, Paul Whitton on the Upright Bass and special guest Julian Nicholas on Sax. One of the UK's most distinctive saxophonists, Julian Nicholas has been a leading player on the international jazz scene. He has worked with Carleen Anderson, Loose Tubes, Claire Martin, Emil Viklicky, Imogen Ryall and many more.

Jenny Green will be vocals who has been in the music business for many years recording two successful albums and has appeared in many Jazz clubs and venue’s including Ronnie Scott’s and Pizza Express Soho. Alongside her busy schedule Jenny is a Jazz radio presenter for Meridian FM and runs a weekly Jazz programme, with this she attends Love Supreme Festival in Lewes every year interviewing artists for the show.

Jenny runs and hosts the successful East Grinstead Jazz Club and is delighted to be performing at Middle House to bring you a top class evening.
